Musings on dating (or the lack thereof)
Dating: is a form of courtship consisting of social activities done by two persons with the aim of each assessing the other’s suitability as a partner in an intimate relationship or as a spouse. While the term has several senses, it usually refers to the act of meeting and engaging in some mutually agreed upon social activity in public, together, as a couple. (according to wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dating).
Now I have never really dated and from what I gather most people my age haven’t. At least not according to that definition.
Now I have never dated so much that I am listed on not one but TWO dating sites. Now I am only partially committed to this now as being unemployed I can’t and don’t really want to pay the ridiculous fees that the internet have deemed the price for finding someone in real life.
I was convinced (and hope still) that you can find someone through normal life outlets. So in many ways I’m holding out for the random guy at a store, class, work, train, plane or bus but I have little hope.
So come August I’ll be putting out a ONE month trial with payment. We’ll see what happens but I know I don’t want to be alone.
